At Elanders Print & Packaging you will work with cutting-edge print finishing technology and play a key role in turning printed sheets into high-quality products. As a Machine Operator in Print Finishing / Bookbinder, you will set up, operate and monitor machines to ensure that books, brochures and packaging products are produced efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Your Tasks
- Industrial book production using perfect binders and book lines
- Operation of machines such as Müller Martini Vareo and Kolbus
- Setup and adjustment of binders based on job specifications
- Ongoing production and quality control
- Book cover manufacturing
- Operating thread sewing machines, folding machines and cutting systems
- Identifying and resolving quality issues
- Maintenance and servicing of equipment
- Supporting colleagues from other departments during peak times
What makes you stand out
- Several years of relevant experience in (print) production
- Ideally trained as a Print Finishing Technician (Bookbinder) or Machine and Plant Operator specialising in paper and post-press
- Skilled with your hands and good colour vision
- Quick learner, reliable, and able to work independently
- Flexible, committed and quality-driven
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends if required
- A true team player with motivation and cost awareness
- Good written and spoken German
- Basic IT skills
