In mid-March, Elanders Donauwörth GmbH opened its doors to two Year 9 classes from St. Ursula Secondary School, giving around 60 pupils the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the production facilities.
The students were offered a comprehensive insight into the company’s wide range of activities. Elanders employees introduced various apprenticeship programmes and guided the groups through the production site. This allowed the pupils to experience first-hand how innovative print and media technologies are applied in practice.
In addition, each visitor received personalised folders and sticky notes – not only informative, but also a lasting reminder of their visit to Elanders Donauwörth. Naturally, refreshments were also provided to ensure the day was thoroughly enjoyable for all.
Elanders Donauwörth GmbH is currently offering apprenticeships in a variety of fields, including:
- IT Specialist for System Integration
- Machine and Plant Operator for Print Finishing and Paper Processing
- Media Technologist for Print Finishing
- Media Technologist for Digital Printing
“Our goal is to inspire young people to pursue exciting careers in the print and media industry and to provide them with a solid professional foundation,” says Steven Asumang, Head of Marketing at Elanders Donauwörth GmbH. “We greatly appreciate the interest shown by the pupils from St. Ursula Secondary School and hope we were able to give them an inspiring insight into our work.”
